...and happy belated "Pastor's Appreciation Month" to one and all!!
If you haven't yet (I know this has been a busy month - at least for me!), take some time and do something to celebrate...even if you have to light some candles, run a bubble bath, and lock the door for an hour or so!! Husband optional, lol .
Our pastor was so surprised Sunday when, after the service, one of our women popped up and said, "Everyone sit back down. Five minutes!" We presented pastor and his wife with a gift, a card, an offering, a poem, a song and a hug. He was speechless. Pastor's wife finally said the thank yous.
LOL!!! October is "officially" Clergy Appreciation Month, but churches can appreciate their pastors whenever they want. We do ours in June, which is the anniversary of our senior pastors' service to the church.
It means more to be appreciated "just because," anyway - unfortunately, I seem to be appreciated most often with food .
