I am a children's pastor at a church about an hour north of Chicago - I've actually only been there about two weeks! Before that, I lived in Minnesota all my life.
My husband works as an assistant teller supervisor at a nearby bank - no kids yet, but we do have a big dog who thinks she's part human and part cat!
Post often - this is a super supportive and encouraging bunch!!
Hubby and I pastor have been pastoring a full year! We're moving into our own space. We had been sharing space with another church but God blessed and now we have room! I'm praying we get the keys next week! We'll definitely be in by the 1st.
We have two children and his and her dogs.
Glad to have you here! The ladies on the board are wonderful!
Welcome to the greatest sounding board for women in ministry...!
My husband and I pastor a church in Queens (New York City) that was organized by my father-in-law 42 years ago. Prior to that we ministered in North and South Carolina.
Hi, Susan: Welcome!!! Ditto everything everyone else has said. The ladies here are WONDERFUL!!!!
My dh has been a senior pastor for almost 4 years now (wow, has it been that long?). Before that, we were children's & youth pastors. We have 3 wonderful kids, ages 9, 4, & 2. And I've just returned to the workforce. (That's a new post when I can find a few extra minutes.)
I live in the Carolinas. DH and I pastor a ministry that we started a year ago. Prior to that my dh pastored a church for six years. I am currently in seminary and work part-time at a mental health center for my internship. We have 2 children in elementary school.
I'm Lori from Tennessee. My DH is not a pastor, but, I have my own ministry that I started back in the nineties for families with very ill children like our Donna Joy.(born with a fatal birth defect, but praise God, is still with us!)) After battling long and hard to save my first marriage of 20 years through good pastoral care, and pshyc intervention, I left my abusive ex-husband a while ago and later, married an old friend of mine. He is adopting my children, and we are now seeking God's place for us as a couple in ministry. Wether it be for families with sick kids, or something new. We are still in the pray and wait stage for that. Meanwhile, I work as a nurse, and am just beginning to find a place for my origional ministry here in my new location. Welcome!!!! God bless, Lori

We've been in the ministry for 25 years. We've been at this church for 2 years as Senior Pastors. We have 2 children in college. I'm really enjoying this time in my life. Freedom, yes!!! Although they are home all the time since we only live 15 miles from the college.
