Last night, I gave my final message in a series I've been teaching on Praise and Thanksgiving. My church is very conservative, made up of many seniors new to pentecostalism. Last night, I talked about giving up anxiety in exhange for peace. As usual I gave an invitation. Pastor and I have talked about this many times. These people just don't respond to invitations. We can have the church full and maybe 2 will come to the altars--maybe. Well last night was different. I said if you are going through a time of stress and feeling anxious it's time to exhange all that for God's peace. Over half the audience came forward. Over half! And Holy Spirit met them. I saw genuine repentence, genuine emotional healing and one woman who had a stroke a few weeks ago and hasn't been able to raise her right arm was shouting, "Look at this!" while waving that right arm over her head. Ugh Huh! It was such a phenomenal altar service. At one point I wanted to know what was happening to the other half of the congregation still sitting out there, but couldn't see over the heads of the press at the front. But I know they could not have been just sitting out there. They had to sense the present of the Lord on the last row! Well, I didn't sleep much last night. Kept waking up praising the Lord. Still basking in His Presence this morning. Just had to share. RevDell
Well just let me rejoice with those that do rejoice!!!!!!!!! Hallelujah! Your e-mail was just a confirmation to me that this is the day of No Limits... God is going to wreck havoc in the church until his people come back to him... God is drawing us closer to him because the days are short... I am excited for you!
Praise God! I am so excited for you! God is moving...among those who are hungry for Him. It seems your people are getting hungry...glory to God!!!
I was sort of down Sunday when I was going to church..just thinking about how many people weren't going to be there because so many go away for Thanksgiving and don't come back til' late Sunday night. BUT - I couldn't believe how many people WERE THERE! And, God truly moved among us. We were just lingering in His presence and God spoke to people through the gifts and ministered so wonderfully.
