For all those times that I come to the board & asked for prayer, I would be amiss if I did not come & say thanks to the Lord for what He has done for me this last year.
One of the most amazing things happened about 3 weeks ago. A lady in the A/G church about 20 minutes away went to her pastor (who is dh’s very best pastor friend.) She told her pastor that she had a dream about our church – that their church was visiting our church for some reason & that there was a division in our church. She said that there was a person trying to burn down our building and a person trying to destroy/hurt the pastor (dh). She woke up not really understanding the dream but having a burden for us & our church. She told her pastor that they had to start praying for us. Of course, her pastor knew the things that had happened to us over the last few months, w/ the former CA trying to destroy dh’s reputation & the church. He has called his church to start praying for us.
You can only imagine how I feel knowing that God gave a dream to someone in another town, about the difficulties that we’ve been going through. So often I wonder “God are you there? Do you care what’s happening to us?” I received my answer in a very powerful way.
Last Sunday, we visited their church for a few minutes. The pastor & his church anointed us & “loved on us.” They prayed & prayed & prayed some more for us. We made it back to our church as the worship part of service was ending. We walked in & the Spirit was moving like never before. That night a lady came up to me & said “Sis. Tracy, the Spirit started moving this morning in church. So & so came up to the altar. It must have been about the time the other church was praying for you.” How awesome is God!
And financially…. Our van’s transmission went out about 3 weeks ago. The 5 of us have been riding around in a little Neon that is about on its last leg, or wheel. (You can only imagine the fights in the back seat of the car.) Well, today, we are starting to get it fixed. God provided the finances for us! Yeah!
In the beginning of the year, our District Supt. wife, spoke at a sectional lady’s meeting. She said something that night for me. She said that God was going to provide in ways that we would never expect. He has this year. For example, in July, our car insurance was up for renewal. Don’t you know that every time you have to renew the policy, it goes up? This time, our insurance was literally CUT IN HALF!!! I’ve never heard of this. And last month, our most expensive bill (other than mortgage) came in the mail. It basically said “you owe this much this month. BUT there are times that we all need breaks from paying our bill, so if you want to pay this bill this month, great. If you don’t want to pay it, you don’t have to pay it. There won’t be any penalties if you don’t want to pay it.” Can you believe it? We didn't pay that one, but we had the money to pay all the others! God is so good!!
