Hi, Ladies: I have a very serious prayer request. The souls of my niece & nephew are at stake.
I can't remember if I posted about my brother & his ex-wife. My brother found out in January that his now ex had been having an affair (the second - that he knows of- since they have been married.) They divorced. His ex began living w/ the guy until the divorce was final.
My brother is a Christian & was/is trying to bring the kids up in the way of the Lord. The ex went to church & all before. Now she isn't. She says horribly filthy curse words, yells at the kids, etc. Since the divorce, she has stolen furniture etc from my brother & tried to burn down the mobile home that was awarded to my brother in the divorce. She & her wonderful parents (sarcasm there) came up to brother's church & tried to physically take the kids, provoke my brother to anger, & then press assault charges against him. (I have referred to the ex for years as the Oximoron for her name is Angel.)
Anyway, now for the prayer request: The Oximoron has filed for sole custody of the kids, child support, & the mobile home. (My parents co-signed for the mobile home & their financial situation/security is in jeapordy.) My brother does not have the $800 to retain a lawyer. Court could be next week. Please pray for the children. I am so concerned about what will happen to the kids if the ex gets sole custody. (Right now she has primary custody of the 4 year old son & my brother has primary custody of the 10 year old daughter.) Please pray that the judge will show wisdom & favor for my brother. Please pray for a financial miracle so that my brother can retain a lawyer. Please pray that she is not awarded the mobile home, for my parents sake. (Of course, my brother would be stuck paying the mortgage.)
