Ministry Name

I am trying to come up with a name for our childrens ministry that incorporates our church name "life" and it cant be kidlife because another chuirch inthis area alrady has one by that name and it would look like we were copying. Any ideas? Christian life is the name of our church. Or if a youth or teen name hits you, throw it at me too.

I love to give names to things. How about LifeMark

7 Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
8 Bind them as a sign on your hand and let them be a symbol(MARK) on your forehead.
9 Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
Deut 6:7-9 (HCSB)

What I usually do is commit myself to making a list of 25-50 potential names with the word that I want to incorporate - no matter how silly or off the wall they sound, I write them down as they come to my head.  Then I go over them and pick the one that sounds the best, and find a verse that goes along with it as our theme verse that all the kids memorize right off the bat!

At my previous church (called "Church Upon the Rock" - no, not the big one in Texas ), the name of the ministry was "Rock Dwellers."  The verse was "For you are my rock and my fortress; for your name's sake, you will lead me and guide me," and it's early in the morning and my brain cannot remember the reference!!

Now, my church name is boring - just "(town name - omitted to protect the guilty!) Assembly of God."  The curriculum we were using dealt with kings, castles, and knights, so that was sort of the theme we went with.  Using the same method, we ended up with "Kingdom Kids."  The youngest kids are Rainbows (they still use the A/G Rainbows stuff); the 1-3 graders are "King's Kids," the 4-6 graders are "Revolution," and the youth group is "Floodgate."

We still haven't picked a theme verse - we're ditching our curriculum, so it looks like we'll have to sort of "invent" a new one for the time being...

I found out today at VBS meeting they already have a name so that solved that. It is one they've had for years. KidZone so I will make a logo to brand it. Thanks for theinput. Gotta find a verse to go with it. Ilike that.
