Lovin' my SP's new attitude!

My SP is on a confidence trip like nothing else!!!

CA made him so angry...as in, calling him and leaving a nasty message on his machine on the 4th of July angry...that he told her off BIG TIME today.  After he told her off, he discovered that she had changed my DH's timesheet because she didn't think he had really worked the hours that he had written in.  DH left a note asking her to give him a call if she had questions about his hours, because he's doing a lot of his web site work from home (as I mentioned in a previous post, our church computer is ancient!) with the SP's blessing.  In other words, she totally overstepped her boundaries and usurped SP's authority as DH's supervisor!!

Now he's fighting mad!  He is just about at the point of removing CA from the board...he's talked about it before, but he is serious about it this time

He's strutting around with a big old spring in his step that says, "Oh, yeah...I'm the pastor!"

Regardless, I am done cowering and being wimpy when it comes to this lady.  I have the full support of my SP, the rest of the board, and the rest of the congregation.  And most importantly, Jesus!!

Ugh!  This sounds all too familiar.  We had someone like this on administrative staff in our previous church who took it upon themselves to think they were "in charge" on things like that - instead of the pastor.  Like they were the church watchdog or something.  I tell you, that is straight from the pits of hell.  I don't know any other way to say it.  That person is in grave danger.

Keep your head up honey...walk in there and act like you (and your dh and sp) own the place!)  Don't give her an inch.

Love you,

Deanna

Deanna -

I totally get where you're coming from.  SP actually made a comment last week during our meeting that "This is scary...people could be struck dead for attitudes like that."

And he's not one to be flippant or to ask God to rain down His justice and smite people (Like I have a tendency to be sometimes, lol!).

Our YP had a woman (she was on the church worship team) in her last ministry who stormed into the youth room where the Holy Spirit was really moving among the teenagers and yelled, "This is not of God; you are all faking it!"  On her way home that night, she was in a car accident and broke a leg and an arm.  Coincidence?  Maybe, except that she hobbled into the youth room the next week and did the same thing.  That same night, she was in another accident and then all of her limbs and (I think!) a couple of ribs were broken!!  And, lo and behold, she was no longer able to get up to the platform to be on the worship team and lead the congregation into the presence of God!

That kind of stuff happens all the time.  We knew a pastor who had three women rail out against him all the time about a building program he was doing.  They gave him total grief over it.  Within a year all three were dead.  (Not that he did anything to cause it).  I believe it's not just ironic.

Dh and I have had things like this happen before too.  We have noticed that when people speak against us, circumstances begin to take shape in their lives in a bad way.

It's no mystery.  The Bible says touch not mine anointed and do my prophets no harm.  Also that no weapon formed against us shall prosper and every tongue that rises up against us he will condemn...

God's Word will not return void.

Pulling for you,

Deanna
