My summer resolution

To improve my mind and prevent my brain from turning to mush...

This summer, I hereby resolve to NOT flip channels aimlessly on the tv in my leisure time, but rather read ONLY the "classics," along with one ministry-related book per month (I read, on average 2-3 books per week, and that's during a busy week when I have lots of interruptions!).

To help with this, DH and I have officially done away with cable (kind of sad, because the one show I was going to treat myself to per week was on cable, but oh, well!).

Any suggestions of books that I should try would be helpful.  I have an English degree, but  since college, I've pretty much been reading "fluff" because my brain couldn't take anything more literary.  It's time for me to force myself to read books of quality again...reading "Emma" by Jane Austen right now and it's quite amusing!!
