15 KIDS!!! (and other ramblings!)

That's right...count 'em...15 kids in my kids' church yesterday!  And most of them came with their families!!  That seems like a small amount to some, but that's the largest number we've had since I've been there.  To give you an idea, it jumped from six kids last week to 15 this week!!  I've had some weeks where I've only had 2-3 (and two of them were the pastor's kids!).

Attendance at our church was 85 people total, which is huge for our church.  And when they dismissed the kids after worship, we didn't clear out the entire sanctuary!  Gotta love the Alpha Course...

The board vote and business meeting went well yesterday.  One of my dear friends was elected to the vacant spot, and he is THE perfect person for the job - strong, level-headed, dependable, and straight-forward.  It was more the "dry and boring" type of business meeting, rather than the "emotionally charged and controversial" kind.  They're always either one or the other, it seems!

Slowly checking things off my "to-do" list.  Really needing a vacation.  I was saying that I needed a nap, but I think it's definitely a vacation!!

Just thought I'd check in and say hi to you all...feeling much better this week.  I did some online self assessments on the National Mental Health web site, and I have myself narrowed down to either mild clinical depression or adult ADD.  Of course, I still plan to seek a professional opinion, lol, but I wanted to do some research and become well informed, too.  Thanks for all of your prayers, and for just being here.  This forum has truly become a lifeline for me!!

That is so awesome ! Especially with families coming too. Makes me think of the movie line ...If we build it (the ministry) they will come. LOL Way to go!

I have been experiencing the best young woman's Bible study group .We have been meeting for 3 weeks and God has added a new young girl to the group every week. They really are like sponges and it challenges me to get in the Word and study. I am having a wonderful time with what God has entrusted me with.

hugs RJ

ps
Like you I love this board. It is a lifeline at times
