No, I have not seen it, but thanks for the tip!  I will definitely see it.

The next movie I'm going to is, "Guess Who?"  (With Ashton Kutcher & Bernie Mac)  I can't wait.  I'm going to see it w/some friends as soon as it comes out.  I laughed so hard at the previews especially the line by the black woman who says, "Uhhh...are we being audited??"  That was so funny...I can't wait to see the whole movie.

I asked a black friend (after I saw the previews...) ,'okay, please be honest with me...do you or any of your family see us (white people) this way?"  She said, honestly, yes.  I couldn't believe it, it was so funny to me.  We had a good talk about stereotypes and how crazy they are sometimes.

Hugs,

Deanna

I have not seen the screenplay (movie) yet- BUT I have watched the stage play on DVD- and if the movie is even HALF as funny as the stage play- you (please excuse me ladies)- may want to wear a depends! From what I've been told, the movie isn't as EXTENSIVE as the screenplay, it adds some, and pulls storylines from other stage plays. Tyler Perry is HILARIOUS! Aside from that though, the stage play has an awesome message about salvation, faith, grace and hope that really ministers- along with some INCREDIBLE vocalists that TEAR UP the place!

I hope to see the movie this week- and I'm wanting to see "Guess Who" also-  looks like some good movies this spring!

We tried to go see The Diary of a Mad Black Woman the weekend that it opened, but it was sold out.  I have also heard that it is a great movie.  Hopefully I will get to see it soon.
