Just a note to tell you all to watch the news carefully tomorrow night, you might see me on any of the major news stations. Larry and I are giving a statement to the press tomorrow at 12:00 noon on the Schaivo case. Most of you are probably aware of it - it's going on here in Tampa.
Anyway, our dear friend Rob Schenck, who is president of the national clergy council in Washington DC is flying here tonight and will be holding a press conference with all the major news networks tomorrow at noon right in front of the hospice where Terri is a patient. Being that we are very close friends of Rob's, he will be calling us on local cases here in FL to help him, including this one. We are also bringing my doctor, Rosemay Latortue, who will be giving a statement to the press. Most of you know she's a member of our church, very special lady. Rob has asked her to serve as the medical advisor to the National Clergy Council for FL.
If you are not up on the Schiavo case, please look it up on line. A lot of the future of our country depends on this case. We are prepared to make a statement tomorrow in the case of victory or defeat, but I plead with you -- pray for Terri tonight and all concerned that it would be a decision in favor of life. Michael Schiavo is a cold blooded killer and wife abuser and we can't stand by silently and let him do this. Food & water is not "life support." This man was a known wife abuser. He wants Terri dead for a reason. I encourage you to read up on tihs thoroughly if you haven't already. Why won't this man turn his wife over to her precious parents who want to love and care for her? The whole time she has been sick he has had an adulterous affair that is now a live in lover, and he has two illegitimate children by this woman. If you want more info, e-mail me and I'll send you to some very eye opening websites about Michael Schiavo and this whole case. Trust me it will be a Lifetime movie someday and hopefully Terri will still be alive!!!!!!!!!!!
And watch your TV's tomorrow...you may just see me! Tell you what... when I speak, I'll put my hand on my heart for a moment, and you'll know that's the signal I'm thinking of you and feeling your prayers for Terri and for us!!! That'll be my little signal to all of you. We are all speaking (Rob, Larry, me and Rosemay) but who knows what will actually make the national airwaves. Just keep your eyes open!!!!!!!
Well, as you all can see, Michael Schiavo has gotten his way, at least temporarily. Please pray for a miracle. The fact that some of the American public cannot see through this man just amazes me. You ladies really need to check out this whole story if you haven't already. Go to www.terrisfight.org.
Larry and I both gave speeches at the news conference on Friday. You probably did not hear them but it's very possible that you saw us standing there with Randall Terry & Rob Schenck as they gave their speeches.
LW, I know you are praying about this and undoubtedly involved in the fight. We all need to be vigilant in prayer for a reinsertion of the tube this week.
I watched Michael Schiavo on Larry King Live last night and he made me so mad, I had to turn the channel or risk becoming violent!!
He was all, "I love my wife and she will always be a part of my life," yada, yada yada, and then when Larry King asked him how his current relationship and children fit into that equation, he totally dodged the question, and just repeated, "I love my wife," blah, blah, blah.
I told my DH last week, "Just so we're clear...when I say I don't want to be kept alive artificially, that DOESN'T translate to 'starve me!' If it's only a machine keeping my heart beating, by all means, pull the plug and send me to heaven. But if my heart is beating and my reflexes and responses are all still there, then keep the food coming!!" Duh. And the fact that he has refused any treatment that could help her come out of the state she's in SINCE 1992 should tell us all something. My DH responded to that, "I'm sorry, but if he really loves her, he'd have been doing everything in his power to help her - not just let her lie there and fight for the right for her to die."
I don't know how to deal with this...I'm turning into one of those "conservative Christians" I used to mock, lol!
puppetmaster, I agree with you on every point you made. This whole issue has gotten me so down. I just keep praying and praying. Poeple don't seem to understand that this is a LIFE . She is someone's child for heaven's sake. I feel so awful for her parents. I just want to hug them so badly!
I saw the mother on our paper today and just wished I was there to pray for her. I am sure there are many around them but this is such a sorrowful thing. We must all continue to pray for them. This has major implications on the value system of our society. When I was in college on of my professors was from Belgium and they are one of the more liberal nations. Topics like this were daily discussed. Of course, they also wanted a credit card inserted in your hand so noone would have to carry cash..sound familiar? This is a sad time for our nation.
Sorry, I have been working....I did see you with Rob and Randall on Fox the other day. I did Randall's show years back. This whole thing is very upsetting! How can nobody see thorough that big fake? I have worked with grieving families for years, this guy is a real piece of work. I have been trying to contact the Schindlers for 2 years off and on, trying to lend my support. I have not been able to, but i am always called to comment on this stuff for the media, and have given my very best to saving her life. I have always had my misgivings about Mike and his "story". He wants her to die, there is no question, and i really think he had something to do with it, and he wants her to die. And what about the "insulin story"? Just too much. LW

It is just absolutely pitiful. Here we sit at day #5 and another judge cannot see how CRAZY this is. We must pray harder than ever for a miracle.
Michael Schiavo is a man absolutely devoid of character, a complete reprobate. How he can say he loves Terri and continue in this adulterous affair is beyond me. How can all of America not see through this charade?
A man who loves his wife does not shack up with another woman for years on end and have two children by her while still claiming to be devoted to his wife.
I was reading the other day that nurses have reported that he has come into her room before and asked the nurses, "Has the b____ died yet???" This has been his attitude for a long time.
I encourage you to also check out www.glennbeck.com. Glenn has done an incredible job of reporting this story.
Deanna - Yeah, I just heard about the comments he had made to that effect!
I just plain don't get it. It's like I told my husband - now that I've been married for 6 1/2 years, I understand divorce less than I did when I was a kid. How can someone be that connected to a person, share so much with them, and then decide that they're just not in love with them anymore?
It's the same thing with the Schiavo case. If he was actually there, day after day, and had exhausted all of his resources to try to help her get better - if he really and truly loved her and believed that she was suffering in this state or whatever, I may even have some sympathy. From a moral standpoint, I am uncomfortable with the idea of anyone playing God in someone else's life - deciding who gets to live and who gets to die - so I still wouldn't approve of the decision, but I'd at least be sympathetic to that type of heartache. If I had to see my husband lying in bed day after day, not being able to eat, much less sing, act, or direct, knowing that it was killing him emotionally, it would kill me, too. Because we're one, and what hurts him hurts me. But the point is, I'd be there. And I'd fight like crazy to give him the best kind of life I could give him. Like make sure his teeth were clean, and that he got regular baths. I'd be playing showtunes and praise and worship music in his room 24/7, and I sure as heck wouldn't be out trying to snag a new man!
Michael Schiavo checked out on his wife a long time ago. He is not wracked with pain at seeing his wife's quality of life diminished, because he is part of what has contributed to it! He is no longer emotionally attached to the situation, if he ever was.
What really gets me is that now the whiny liberal people are saying that THIS is destroying the sanctity of marriage because the parents are trying to take the "next of kin" rights away from the spouse and give it to the parents. One person I read even quoted the Biblical command to leave your parents and cling to your spouse!! I guess they forgot the other one that says, "Husbands, love your wives!"
This whole case really bothers me - not as much from a social or political standpoint (although it's a scary precedent that's being set), but from a personal one. The more I read about it and talk about it, the more ticked off I get. And the more I want to track down my husband and give him a big hug!!!
