Just thinking about church planting...it is one thing to take a pastorate, but another to plant and birth one! So I was wondering, is it better to go with a denomination or plant with a team of people who believe in you, the vision, and are willing to get Thanks..
That is a very broad question Autumn Rose. I would say first of all, it would all depend on the specific situation...
All denominations are not the same, first of all. So that is a great factor.
Second, when you say a team of people who believe in you, the vision, etc. you don't want anything to be a split off of a church where you are on staff, so therefore if the team would come from there, no. If the team is a group of people in a different city that you have formed a core group with, etc. -- awesome. Or if the team if a group that a senior pastor has put together to help a staffer in an official launch mothered by his/her church, great.
There are so many variables to this and I am not exactly sure of the specifics but it's difficult for me to answer based upon that.
Pastor Tara knows a lot about this as she's in the midst of doing it and could give you some great advice.
