Here's our next interesting topic question...what is your favorite time or "event" in the yearly life of your church? Mine are so numerous it is hard to pick one, but if I absolutely had to...it would be Christmas week, particularly our Christmas Eve Communion. It is so special and the memories I have of being with our church family at this time are very heartwarming. Although I love my June women's luncheon an incredible lot and put my heart and soul into it, Christmas week still wins out.
My favorite this year has been our Halloween outreach - we changed the title from "Hallelujah Night" to "Soul Harvest." We thought the second name would appeal to the unchurched (which was the whole point!) because it sounded kind of "ooky," but would also appeal to the Christians for obvious reasons! We got 3 other churches to work on it together, and it was so much fun to get to know some of the other Christians in the community, and see the donations of candy and prizes from local businesses just pour in (let's face it - they all want to do their part to get at-risk kids off the street on Halloween!)...Plus, over 100 kids heard the gospel for the first time. I run into kids who don't even go to our church regularly, but because of that event, will introduce me to their parents or friends as THEIR children's pastor!
I like Christmas time, the whole month. The whole church is just so warm that time of year and the little ones get all excited about their little play or musical or whatnot that they are doing. And it all centers around Jesus. Lw

I love summer! Outreaches are great in the summer and there are so many people to minister to! Plus my kids are home and we do a 5 day club in our back yard for the neighborhood.
My favorite time would be a tie between Christmas week as well and our summer outreach-Jesus Day which is like a whole weekend of random acts of kindess. Totally a blast and the community responds so wonderfully.
