Just popping in to say "hey"! I know we all have insanely busy lives....for us A/G folks, it's District Council/Annual Business Meeting season (not to mention Easter coming up - what on earth is the wisdom of our districts smooshing all of that together?)...
Anyway - God has really been doing some great stuff in my life. DH, my best friends, and I had a really good conversation after church last night and really cleared the air about a lot of stuff we had been feeling. Nothing major; just a really good time of reaffirming our commitments to each other as friends. But it was a much-needed conversation, nevertheless!!
The BIG news is that I have been asked to preach in the main Sunday service the week after Easter!!! Our senior pastor is going on vacation, and he usually has the youth pastor do it, but the two of them co-conspired and decided that the children's ministry needs to be highlighted, so I was officially asked to do it this time. I have a lot of ideas floating in my head - need to take some time out of my insanely busy life to pray and prepare for it. DH keeps joking that I'll be "preaching without a license," since our District Council isn't until three weeks after that date!
Anyway, like I said, I just wanted to pop in and say hello...hoping everyone is having a good week and taking some time to relax in the midst of your busy ministry lives .
Hey, I miss ya'll too!!! I was wondering where everybody was.
I've been here, just busy with our missions convention this past weekend. We had such a blessed weekend!!!!!!!!! I am so tired though. We took off today instead of our usual Friday. Okay, I have to confess, it's 6:30 pm and I'm still sitting here in my pajamas. That's how tired I am. We are going to work Friday instead since we have an activity that day. I must tell you all I have done today is sleep and watch Lifetime movies. I only do this about twice a year, but when I do, oh how I need it!!! Before doing this today I had been getting a cold just from being so tired. On top of all this I'm so blessed that Larry is in the kitchen making dinner right now, and I don't have to!!! Wowee, I have been so blessed.
Puppetmaster I am so happy for you! Things are really going well for you in all areas - your marriage, your ministry, your finances, everything! What a blessing! We are all proud of you.
I am in the midst of a busy season as well, at church, and otherwise...I am doing a lot of speaking. God has really blessed me but I must admit I really need to get even more organized and get more sleep. It's an everyday whirlwind of keeping the house, the kids, the church, and everything going as well as get on the road and back to where I need to be to speak as I am doing more often these days. I don't complain about maintaining my home, church work, speaking or any other things I have to do because quite truthfully God has blessed me so much, how dare I complain?
Well, Larry has dinner ready - so I'm off to eat...somebody post about something interesting we can talk about!!! Let's ask a burning question, like...where's your favorite place to get coffee? Mine are (in order):
Out of the three: Definitely Panera! I love their cinnamon and sugar bagel with honey/walnut cream cheese, and their house latte is one of the best I've had - sort of like a cross between coffee and chai tea! Plus they have fabulous soups and sandwiches.
Sentimental favorites:
1. Espana Coffee and Gifts in Duluth, MN...they make THE best chocolate covered espresso beans ever!!
2. This coffee shop never had a name - but it was "the coffee shop in the back of Arrowhead Tobacco" in a tiny little town called Virginia, MN. That's the town I grew up in, and the coffee shop was where I spent most of my senior year of high school. Needless to say, it was buried in a haze of smoke - I would have to go outside about once an hour and pry my eyes open! The owner plays great jazz and blues music and makes an iced cappucino to die for! It was voted "favorite hangout" in my senior yearbook...
I am really boring. I go to Sheetz. For those who don't know, it's a convenience store chain, like 7-11. They have a yummy creme brulee' cappaccino. I just got one today. I hate to admit this, but i will often add a little bit of the hot chocolate to it. Hey, no laughing....it taste really good in the morning! lw

Starbucks was always my favorite until I tried Panera's. I absolutely love their cappuchino's and their latte's. My husband says I'm addicted.
I like different places for different things. Panera I just clearly love out of the taste of it...it's just impeccable.
Starbucks I like because of the quality but I also like the fact that I can usually find one open very late.....which is nice.
Coffee Beanery's stuff is good quality, and their gourmet cookies are to die for. But at my particular one in New Tampa here I also like the employees...they are so nice & sometimes I schedule meetings in there because it's just a good atmosphere for it.
Okay, I must make a confession - I HATE COFFEE! But I can tell you my favorite place for ice cream is Baskin Robbins - Pralines & Cream is inspired of the Holy Ghost.
