Hey girls! . What is the best part about being a woman? I have a list: 1) Bubble baths 2) Makeup and all the new shades of lipsticks 3) The way I feel when I dress up 4) Being a mommy 5) The way my man looks at me and I know I'm his one and only 6) knowing God made ME to be Me 7) Teaching my little girls to be girls ...shopping!
Well, there are many things that make being a woman so awesome. But here are a few of my favorites:
1) I dont have hair on my face, back or other gross areas.
2) If i did start having hair in any of the previously mentioned places, I could have it waxed and it be ok.
3) Feeling a life moving inside my body knowing I am partnering with God to bring a new person into this world. And besides God, I know more about this new person than anyone--and there are not here yet.
4) Having the baby and nursing, knowing I am helping it grow. No man ever done that.
5) Chilvary from men (you know opening doors, not letting people cuss in front of ya) all that good stuff
6) Intuition
7) Being able to do nine things at once. It is a God given gift to women. Multitasking Divas!
8) Knowing that even though my husband is the "head", he still values my opinion so much he wont make a move without seeing what I think first. Wait...that is what I like about being a wife.
9) Being the recipient of chocolate.
10) Decorating, crafting and artsy stuff. If men do things like that, they are usually gay or something. (Not always, but mostly)
These are good! I agree with all the above! Wow...........what a whopper of a question. There are so many things I love. I could talk about it all day!!!
Things I love best are --
1) Being the one that got to wear the beautiful wedding dress! (I would be bored to tears in a tuxedo. But I love my man in one. Oh my word, it's delicious to even think about...)
2) Dressing up. I love it! I can't tell you how much I love it! Our son Aaron (adopted spiritual son since we moved to Tampa - long story!) teases me that I dress up in the office even on days when it might be just me by myself and all the other staff may be out and about somewhere. I love dresses...high heels...jewelry...purses...perfume, etc.
3) Hair, makeup, nails, etc. etc. etc. Now that I live here in FL, the nail thing is just a given. We wear sandals all year...I get my feet done every month and my hands done every 2 weeks. I like to always have my hands looking extra sharp because I am always praying for people, giving hugs, holding a hand as I pray for somebody. I get a lot of compliments on my hands...seems at least 4-5 people a week comment on it. And I love it!
4) Being the one that got to be pregnant with our children. I love being pregnant! I could stay pregnant for life but it's the raising the kids once I have them that is the huge challenge! If it was just about going through pregnancy, birth and the newborn stage I would have had 10 kids!
5) Cassandra, I too love the pretty underwear thing. Absolutely. I believe it has a huge effect on how a woman feels about herself. You can be dressed to the nines on the outside but if you have ragged underwear on, you really don't feel good about yourself. I like to wear something that I feel great in, and something guaranteed to turn dh's head every time I get undressed!
6) I love the female relationships -- they seem so much different than the friendships guys share. I don't just want to watch a game and talk about surface things. I want to go get a latte with somebody and bare my soul. Laugh my head off, shed a few tears, share life. You can only do that with your girlfriends in some ways. Yes, I'm really deep with dh of course but still there are things only my girlfriends appreciate.
7) I love being a woman because there is nothing greater than.........loving a man!
Well, I'll end with 7 tonight because it's the number of perfection and besides that, I'm dead tired. It's after Wed. night church...and I'm ready to crash. I'll probably write more of these later when I have more time to think.

LOL...my DH would take issue with that - he's a theatre guy, so he's very good at decorating, designing, etc. Although he's not as motivated to do any home decorating unless I push him to do it...if it's not for a set and doesn't have a pressing deadline, he's much more content to sit and play his online computer game in his spare time.
Anyway...What do I like about being a woman?
1. Being curvy!! Yes, I have some pounds to lose, but I love that I have an interesting shape.
2. Switching purses every three months, just because!
3. One word: makeup!!! DH jokingly calls it a generational sin - passed down all the way from my great-grandma - that I won't leave the house until I have put on my makeup.
4. We can wear some men's clothes and look cute, but they can't do the same with women's clothing.
5. Eating a big juicy burger with a female friend who is supposed to be my weight loss buddy and somehow being able to justify it...
6. If I wasn't a woman, I wouldn't be married to THE greatest man on earth (Sorry to all you married ladies, but, yeah, I got the best one .).
I forgot one of the worst things about being a woman: pap smears. If it werent for how lip stick makes you feel, I might would consider asking God for a refund and exchange. (Jusy kidding)
Puppet master, no offense toward your dh. That is why I said most of the timt. Actually, the person that does our church decorating and catering is a man. Brilliant artist with flowers. SO there are exceptions.
Why do some men talk about being in touch with their feminine side and yet I have no desire to have a masculine side.
I mean the only things that is GOOD about the whole monthly thing is getting by with more than you might some other time. I mean, when a man is grumpy, he has nothing to blame it on! haha SO I guess that makes it better, but I still dont like it.

No offense taken . As I told a teenage friend of ours in an e-mail, being a Godly man or woman has nothing to do with someone else's perception of who we should be, but it's about using the gifts and callings that God has given us to the best of our abilities!
Yeah, I know what you mean about the unpleasant side of being a woman. I know that it's all part of the miracle of birth and all, but every month I ask God if there was possibly another way He could have gone about it, lol!
I cannot think of many things about being a woman that I don't like -- I enjoy it so much. But if I had to really think of a few things they would be -
1) Uncomfortable bras - I usually get rid of them pretty quickly if they're not.
2) When hose gets uncomfortable (too small, too tight, too hot, etc.) but I still like to wear them because they make me feel "smoother" and just sharper I guess, I dunno. But they have to fit well.
3) Being the only one in my family that notices things out of place. Everybody else is oblivious to it (my guys) until I point it out and ask them to help me. I am the only one driven to keep things neat, and although I get help I have to ask for it. I would much rather everybody notice it but I guess it's just the nature of things.
It does bother me somewhat at times (though I don't get up and publicly complain about it or whatever) that I have to prove myself three times over what a man does when I first go into a situation that I can do a job, not only get it done, but many times better. Whereas sometimes men come in with some respect, we generally have to do double time to prove that we belong where we're at. It's okay, I'm used to it by now and just do it. But sometimes...it does get old!
Incidentally you can all be insanely jealous of me ------I don't deal with the "monthly" thing. Yep, that's right, there are no pads nor tampons in my Walmart cart! Halleluiah. And no I did not get a hysterectomy nor have I gone through the change. I had a really great procedure done about a year ago, called an endometrial ablation. It's awesome. You usually never have your period again. If you do it's incredibly light and lasts about a day or two, almost un-noticeable. Wonderful! If any of you deal with problems, ask your doctor about it. Changed my life! (you have to not want any more kids if you have the procedure, btw). It's outpatient too, btw. Took me a day to recover, that was it.
Deanna - Right there with you on the uncomfortable bras and hose. Men have no clue what we deal with! My other pet peeve is shaving my legs. It is a big pain and a half, and I usually end up slicing myself at least once every other time I do it! But since we don't live in Europe, we're sort of stuck doing it .
However, since I live in MN and pretty much live in long pants, I can get away with doing it LESS often any time other than summer .
I cannot get away with it at all being that I live here in FL and rarely don't have my legs showing...and wear sandals year round! But that's alright, I don't like to have any hair on my legs anyway. I do tell dh, he has NOTHING to complain about shaving his face. It's nothing compared to what we have to do!
