A young girl whose family I have been working with, her name is Becky, has just had her baby in jail. She is in for a white collar crime that truley, another person is really responsible for. Anyway, the baby girl will soon be taken from her arms, and she has said she will just "not make it" when they take the baby away. Thankfully, her family is getting the baby. Please pray for them all as this progresses. Becky is a sweet young Christian lady. She said that even though she was alone in the hospital giving birth, she felt Jesus was at her side the whole time. She never needed anything for the pain. She said that God showed her divine mercy and the baby just came with very little pain. Mom and baby are resting well, but Becky it is coming. Please pray for her ladies. Thanks! LW

I can't imagine what this young mother will be going through! I will be praying for God to help her deal with the seperation from her baby and serving her jail time. xo
Jesus, be with Becky right now, and help her through this time. Let the baby thrive under her family's care, and let the whole family be reunited as soon as possible when she gets out! Have favor on Becky when she is released so that she will be able to find employment, and provide a caring and supportive church family for her as well! We believe that You can do all things - You are a God of miracles, and we thank you for it. In Jesus' name, amen!

May I ask how long they are saying Becky will be in jail? Is this a short term thing? Is there bail option for her? I pray she will find favor and get this behind her as quickly as possible?
Becky is serving five years. She was given 15, and 10 were suspended in Sept. just before she was remanded into custody. She has been in since Sept. of '04. Since the publicity is out, I may as well tell you all the baby's name. It was in the paper yesterday. Her name is Hannah Elizabeth Moats. Becky named the baby while she was in the womb. At services at the jail one Sunday morning, while hearing the story of how the baby lept in the womb when he heard the name of the Lord our savior, Becky said the Holy Spirit told her the baby's name will be Hannah Elizabeth, and God assured her, it was a girl. God is with this woman!! Becky is Becky Price of Greencastle,Pa. Becky as of today told a friend she is "ok", but misses Hannah terribly! Please pray for her strength. She has a court date for a "modification of sentence". We are all going to show support. Please pray a hedge of protection around us that day and Becky. Thanks ladies! LW

Will she get to see Hannah any, like visitation or anything? I hate the thoughts that would be NO sort of contact what so ever. I can't imagine what she is feeling. My prayers are with her.
She can see Hannah 2 hours per week at the jail. Maryland has a maternity home program to keep non-violent inmates and their kids together, but Becky does NOT qualify.....it's for drug and alcohol abusers only!lw

Will be keeping mother & baby in prayer. I have been checked out these past 3 days off the board --out of town...attending and speaking at a ladies retreat in Lake Wales, FL. I'm just getting back a few hours ago and checking my mail...and the board.
I see you guys have been interceding while I've been gone. Praise God! My prayers too are with Becky and Hannah.

Hello All! some good news to share on Becky and Hannah! Becky's milk just came in for her, she is so happy! And we arranged permission for Becky to nurse Hannah 3 times a week starting today!!!!! Hannah is on her way to Mommy for her lunch right now. If she could, I know Becky would thank all of you for praying for her. If you go to Defendlife.org, you can click on the Becky update line and in a few days, you will see Hannah's little face! Thanks ladies!
