Ok ladies are you ready for this? Since my last post (church planting) I have started school full time. I am LOVING it and learning so much. But my main news is we now pastor 250 people!!! Here's how. The local church dh had put in resume for months ago finally called before Christmas and our church plant was all for us persuing it. Well, theymade us a great financial offer and we accepted. So we are now the new pastors of Complete in Christ Church. We could not be more pleased. He was told we had a 98% approval rating. And we can feel it. Almost everyone has been so precious. The other few are either just stand offish or not over the former pastor leaving. In time they will either warm up to us or not. Not letting that stress us. I will be playing piano on Sundays and singing when needed but for most part I am gonna keep focusing on my school work. Since its online it requires lots of time reading and being on internet. But I love being home with my now one year old. (Had birthday yesterday). Our income has doubled. Dh has peace (which is worth more than any salary increase) and while we are broke because we are waiting on first pay day its great knowing God has pulled us out of our pit and rewarded our faithfulness to stand and keep on when we wanted to give up. Just wanted to let you know and give God praise!
That's great news. The church we pastor was about 200 when we came a decade ago. And it is a blessing because most churches young people seem to get are ones 100 or less (at least in my denomination). Anyway, our church had a 98% vote also! Which is very good! You're right. Now 13 yrs later, we run between 300-450 varying. We have a new sanctuary to seat 800. I covet your prayers! I must say that we were very blessed here in that we have NEVER had a deacon problem and my dh has never had trouble from anyone! I've been through some heartache with ladies but nothing compared to some of the war stories I have heard! Just keep good relations with your board. Be discerning and loving. God will give you favor.
