Love your insights...I grew in in northern Minnesota, so I am very well acquainted with snow and ice storms!!
I had to laugh, though - a friend of mine is going to visit family in OK in a few weeks and has been bragging to everyone who will listen that she gets to escape the nasty Wisconsin weather. Hmm...I don't see any ice storms here, LOL!!!!
I know really!! It is worse today. I woke up this morning to branches all over my yard, down power lines (not ours, thanks to the Good Lord), and a broken garge door! Other than that, we are safe, warm, and not in any harm. We have these types of storms at least 2 to 3 times a winter. She needs to be fore-warned!
The funny thing is, her parents have lived in OK (and she's been visiting them for holidays for about that long!!) for about 10 years, lol!!!
Speaking of ice storms, it's looking like southern WI/northern IL will be experiencing much of the same today. GRRR!!!!! It's not even "officially" winter, and I already want it to go away...
Well, the ice has melted off the streets, but there is still 600,000 people with out power. Tongiht we get a ran and snow mix. We get Thursday off, then on Friday, Saturday and Sunday we get a snow storm! Oh goody! 2 feet of snow to go on top of ice!
