I am sure everyone is looking forward to fall- especially those of you in Florida- Hurricane Season will finally be over! Yea!
Anyway, I am posting this morning to tell you a little about where our church plant is right now- we are doing very well- working incredibly hard but blessed and highly favored! We came off of a 21 day fast on October 22nd- my husband felt impressed to call a fast and encouraged everyone to fast something significant in preparation of where we were going as a church. I felt impressed to do the Daniel Fast- and about 90% of the church decided to do it as well. Although it was a LONG 21 days (no dairy, no meat, no sugar, no caffeine, no fried foods, no soda or tea…) we ALL made it (and lost significant weight as well!) Anyway, upon coming off of the fast, several of our families were hit by attacks from the enemy. I also began feeling an incredible sense of "spiritual attack" against myself, my husband and some of our key people. At first I was unable to put my finger on it, but I began to pray and God began to speak to me that there was a group of people who were praying against us. Well, I revealed this to my husband and my husband shared it with two couples in our core group. We began to pray strategically.
Yesterday, a lady who was visited last week came for the second time. She is sweet and lives in a huge apartment complex in our area. She and another of our members were riding home together with one of women from our core. Marlene began saying that she didn't want to "sound funny" but that she really felt like whoever lived above her was praying against the church and speaking word curses against us. Well, Jennifer was listening as she talked and dropped both ladies off at their apartments. However, when she dropped Marlene off, she realized that the person who lived directly above her is a woman from the church we left. She was a part of the "Intercession" group (This was NOT a Godly group). To make sure, Jennifer checked the parking spot for that apartment and sure enough- it was her.
Marlene had NO idea who the person was- and she knows NOTHING about our previous situation or about the people involved…
Like it or not ladies, this stuff is real- and this is just the TIP of some of the warfare we've been doing. Please keep us in your prayers.
Yep, BTDT, in the past -- as you well know. How interesting things can get with some "intercessors." You know, these type of people have no clue how they are prostituting the gifts of God. What a mis-use of a wonderful gift. Intercessors are supposed to be in the life saving business but some unfortunately are in the church destroying business. But stand fast - no weapon formed against you shall prosper...every tongue that riseth up against you shall fall. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord!!
Isn't it amazing what some consider intercession? True intercessors saved my life. My grandmother was a true intercessor. She would roll over in her grave to see the mis-uses of this wonderful vehicle the Lord uses to bring people into His Kingdom, and uphold the servants of the Lord.
How did such a wonderful thing -- PRAYER -- ever get so WACKED OUT in some churches? It's amazing to me.
I will be lifting you up, that this woman's actions would cease and desist, and that your work would go forth not only unhindered, but that you would prosper in every way.
I am lifting you in prayer right now, knowing that the promise of God is found in these verses (AMPLIFIED):
Isaiah 54 16Behold, I have created the smith who blows on the fire of coals and who produces a weapon for its purpose; and I have created the devastator to destroy. 17But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord.
