Check us out...

Hello ladies, it has been a minute since I have had a chance to write anything, my life is hectic (HA HA HA- as if you don't know!)   At any rate, please take a moment to check my church's website - I have labored seriously to be it together.   My father-in-law finally retired (okay he was retired, same result) and my husband is the Solo Pastor.   Fortunately the deacons and trustees left my FIL with dignity and he was able to quietly sit down....   At any rate, check us out.....

It is not my best picture, but it was the only one that I had at work when I was uploaded the site...

Please sign the guestbook when you visit

Thanks!!   You of course are such a sweet blessing!

I must also now share that I have a new baby in my life - Destiny Lioness Brunswick - She is a little less than 4 pounds and she is a bundle of energy...  Of course she is a Shih-Tzu, which is funny because I am NOT a dog lover, or a dog liker...   As a matter of fact she is evidence that I refuse to accept any fear rule my life - I have been afraid of dogs since I was a child, but I have been teaching about now falling prey to your fears...  And so I am bringing THE dog into my life...

She is aptly named Destiny because she like what God has purposed for me was given to me freely, but I am required and responsible for maintaining her.   God has given each of us a destiny - a hope and a future - but we must do what is necessary to keep it healthy, fed and satisified...   And of course she is Lioness, because I collect Lions and she is regal, royal and ready to pounce...

LOL!!! I was never a "dog person" until DH and I decided to adopt our little ball of fluff (that is now about 70 pounds!!!) six years ago...I was also a little bit afraid of them.  Not dogs I "knew" - but strange dogs really freaked me out.

It worked for me...the only way I could really understand canine behavior and get over my fear was to get a dog myself, and now I am one of those shameless, overindulgent "pet people."  Our dog really is our baby - we actually refer to the possibility of having kids in the next year or two as "giving Cubby some human siblings ."

On the spiritual side, dogs really are a picture of unconditional love and forgiveness...I have an idea for a devotional for pet lovers floating around in my head...the working title is "All We Like Dogs...Lessons from the Animal Kingdom."

God bless you in all your new adventures!!!!!
