Nothing too hard

My dad is backslidden. Wounded in church and has never stepped foot in another.

I've prayed off and on for him. Sent letters. Invited him to church to see his grandkids minister and get baptized. He would not come. Right now he's simmering hate in his heart for another family member. Huge fight between them.

God called me to the carpet for being content on letting him live like this. For losing my passion for the lost. After I got off the floor in repentance, my prayers for my unsaved family members intensified. I even asked them to forgive me if it seemed to them that I was unconcerned about their soul.

I sent my dad that same clip "Are you ready" that's posted under links.

He called me to say that he got my email and he wants to try and get ready.

I wept.

This is so huge. God is so great. My dad has fought vehemently against a return to God. So for his heart to be softened enough for him to even want to make an attempt to be ready when Jesus comes sends me to my knees in worship and thanksgiving.

Keep praying for your unsaved loved ones. Don't lose your passion. Don't become content to see them in their current condition.

There is nothing too hard for the Lord.

Wow Judah,

How wonderful that your Dad's heart is being soften up. Perhaps God was using the blow-up with the family member to wake him up.

I will be praying for him too.

Update when you can.

Hugs,

Susan
