The adoption of 2 of my girls by my new DH is almost complete. We signed the papers today asking the court to waive the usual six month waiting period. I love clause # 6.... "Whereas Mark has come to love and care for the aforementioned children as his own, and attends church with them on a regular basis..providing a good home.....he seeks a writ of adoption...". That part almost made me cry. Shaylah is hoping my ex-husband will allow her to be adopted as well in the near future. That means another 1,000 dollars to the lawyer and chancery court judge, but God provided this money out of nowhere for these 2, if it's his will, I assume he will provide the means again. Everyone is very happy. The house has finally been signed over to us, but not yet the property.....trying to work out the details with his brothers, but at least we own the home now. This means next month, I can go part time at my job and we can seek God's place for us in the ministry. He is thinking he may like to do temporary duty assignments like Katrina clean-up, or helping to renovate a church building somewhere. He is very good with his hands and knows how to do or build alot of things as far as like homes and stuff. He loves Florida, well, in the winter he did...LOL! Anyway, if you ladies have any ideas for a fall or winter short term project....let us know.....Keep in mind we are a family of 5.
Love to All! Lori and Mark
