The check finally came today! We'll be in our building by Sept 1. Thanks be to God! Bldg. mgmt. said they may be done by 8/15 and he'll release keys early. We'll have our celebration and anniversary service in Sept. If we do get in early we fine tune some stuff before guests come.
The delay wasn't such a bad thing afterall. Now add'l family and friends can come since the first date conflicted with a few calendars. Just don't know what they're gonna sit on since we still have NO CHAIRS! LOL!
We've gotten a few donations in from our building fund and believe God will continue to bless.
We've gotten SWEET deals on the drums, sound equipment, mixers, podium, and organ. Still looking for a Leslie speaker and of course chairs.
We went to a revival last night and sat on metal folding chairs. Dh looks at me in the middle of service and says these chairs are not comfortable! He definitely wants a chair upgrade. If he comes up with six grand I'll be happy to place the order for him. Ok my tyraid on the cost of chairs is done.
The good news is our check came and we've got a firm move in date!
Too bad this is adult and not children's ministry, lol! I had an "uncomfortable chair" issue with my kids' group a few years ago, and did a pillow-decorating contest. Each kid had to bring a creatively decorated pillow...there were prizes involved...and then we kept the pillows locked up in our supply closet for the kids to place between themselves and the uncomfortable chairs each week.
Hey, the Bible says "You must become like a child to enter the kingdom of God," LOL!!!!
We're so excited for you! What a huge step forward. Maybe if you have a picture or two from the big day you could include them with a post here to show us.
