Does anyone have a study about "God's purpose for Women." I think sometimes I am missing my purpose and role in life. It would be beneficial if you all could include some scriptures that would help me identify who I really am. With so much feminism and women's lib, I forget sometimes what Gods' original intent was for me.
I highly recommend the book "Captivating" by John and Stasi Eldredge. I don't usually get into "spiritual self-help" books, lol (I'm more of a fiction person myself!), but this one is absolutely amazing. It addresses a lot of the issues that you talked about in your post, and it's one of the few Christian women's books I've read that doesn't pigeonhole women into one or two specific roles.
It's only a few years old, and should be available in any library...
I also really like the book, The Kings Daughter by Diana Hagee. I have to be honest with you, I didn't use to be a huge John Hagee fan, no real reason, just wasn't like, "wow!" to listen to him but after I read his wife's book I became a fan. She's great in my opinion. I like her style of writing and she talks about the many roles she has held in addition to being wife to John Hagee and mother to her children she has always been chief of staff of their church/tv ministry and led women's ministries, etc., and she shares what she has learned and her journey through that. I was really impressed.
