It went absolutely fantastic!! We loved the church...the people...the children's ministry...the building...the senior pastor...This church is really committed to children's ministry, and they put their $$ and support behind that! I'd be making a full time salary (Yes, they brought up salary, which is always a good thing!) - more than I'm making right now at NCU!
The pastor's wife (also a pastor, actually!) called me today to see what we thought of the church and the kids' ministry - they have two services on Sunday mornings, so we went to "big church" for one, and kids' church for the second. She said that they have no reservations about us (asked if we had any about them, and we really don't!), but they want to take some time to pray about it and give us some time to pray about it, too. I will hear from them by the end of the week.
So it's looking pretty promising...and now I'm just playing the waiting game. We had another showing of our house today, and one more this evening, so we're playing the waiting game with that, too! Our realtor was out of town all weekend, too, so who knows? There could be an offer that he just hasn't gotten to yet.

Still waiting...I should know something by the end of this week...
We also have a construction company coming to look at our house either tomorrow or Friday. They are interested in buying the house as is, fixing it up, and selling it for a profit. Theyr'e offering less than what we're asking, BUT since it's "as is," that means we wouldn't have to pay to fix the roof before closing, or any of the other minor repairs that need to be done. AND since there's only one realtor involved, that price gets cut in half, too. So we'd be walking away with about the same amount of $$, and less work and hassle for us. Much happiness .
PRAY that this works out!!
(Go figure...we'll probably be hearing from both parties (the church and our realtor!) on the same day!)
