The Weather

I'm curious. What is the weather like where you live?

I'm in the Panhandle of Florida, about 30 miles from the Alabama line.  Our low was 48 degrees & our high 92 degrees -- a 44 degree difference in the typical day this week.  (I did hear that tonight is supposed to be warmer.)  There is the possiblity of a hurricane this weekend, though it really looks as if it will hit the southern part of the state.  (Until it actually hits, there is never absolute certainty of its location.)

I love Florida, but we do not really have fall.  I am jealous of you who get to enjoy the beauty of the leaves changing colors.  But at least we do not have to put up w/ the bitter cold...

Our high was about 55-60 degrees today, but yesterday it was in the mid-80s.  Last week (within 2-3 days!) we had temps at almost 90, and as low as 45.

Sigh.  Minnesota.  If you don't like the weather, wait an hour!

They're predicting a "warm" winter for us this year, though, which will be less bitter cold...at least where I am.  Probably lots of teens and 20s, with an occasional 30-40 degree day.  Sad to say, a winter with only a few sub-zero temps is warm for us.

But you're right - I'm a sucker for fall (and white Christmases ), which is why I stay...

:) Did someone mention weather? Out here in Arizona most of the state  experiences only 2 seasons--summer and winter--and winter is debatable.

Here in the mountains it is autumn, however. Cottonwoods are turning golden, some trees are beginning to lose their leaves. Our live oaks stay green all winter and in the spring they lose leaves as new ones come in.

Just wanted to share.

The weather here in Tampa Bay is absolutely wonderful.  Right now it's the most beautiful.  Today it was so nice, everywhere I went people talked about it being a terrible day to work inside...everybody wanted to be out.  I am not sure what the temp was, but it was just sunny (not hot, light and breezy).  Night temp is great.  I go for walks day or night and don't even sweat (unless I really work it).

Pray for us that Hurricane Wilma stays far from us.  You know, I care about my home (of course!), but more than that -- we have revival scheduled this week and I really don't want anything hindering it.  I know God has a great plan in store.
