Can you tell by the # of my posts that it's late Friday afternoon, and I have absolutely no work left to do (at least at my day job...once I get off work, I have a zillion and one things to do!)...
Anyway, I wanted to let you all know about the A/G's 2006 National Women in Ministry Conference..."The Gathering." It's taking place at three locations this year (I'm on the steering committee for the mid-states location...).
March 23-24, 2006............Vanguard University, Costa Mesa, CA
March 30-31, 2006...........Valley Forge Christian College, Phoenixville, PA
September 21-22, 2006...........North Central University (actually, at Emmanual Christian Center), Minneapolis, MN
Anyway, I guess you're supposed to pick the one closest to where you live, but it would be great in my wildest dreams if you all picked the mid-states location, anyway, so I could meet you all in person! But regardless, there are going to be some great workshops and speakers at ALL THREE locations. If you know someone in any of those regions, pass the info on to them...for mid-states people, I've got a TON of fliers, and I'd be happy to send you some (we don't want to encroach on other committee's territories ).
I'll definitely go this year, though I usually go to the one at VFCC, being that I'm alumni there and I'm on the east coast. I haven't checked my calendar yet for 2006 to see what's going on with me that weekend...I already have some speaking dates that month, so I'll have to see what's happening. If the VFCC time doesn't gel for me, I'll definitely come to the mid-states one. Wouldn't miss that conference for the world. The first one changed me, incredibly.
