I'm back.....

Hi, Ladies:

We got back Saturday from a wonderful vacation.  It was so AWESOME!!  We spent time as a family, got to visit our best friends, and had an awesome day at Disney.  It was great.

Of course, we came back to the real world yesterday...  The CA actually showed up for church yesterday.  He told one of our church leaders that he was leaving the church!!! WOOHOO!!  He is taking someone down to visit their father & he said that this would be the last thing he does for anyone in the church.  So, I'm hoping this is it....  I'm not sure about his wife.  She actually decorated her Sunday School class & put more time & attention in to it than she has in months, so who know...  I'll keep you posted.

Trace,

Congrads on your wonderful vacation and your CA leaving.  As for his wife...be aware of the motivation behind what she did.  In my experience, the reasons for this is probably so that it will make a bigger bang when she leaves.  She wants people to "notice" that she's gone.  "Oh...Sis. so and so is gone...and she was such a help to the church in doing her class and those bulletin boards...etc."

Keep in mind, these kind of people want to make as large a statement as possible when they leave.  Notice her husband had to point out what he was doing and that it would be "the last time" he does such.  Okay, so who cares?  (He does - he wants to point out, "I'M OF VALUE.  THIS IS WHAT I DO FOR PEOPLE.  NOW YOU WILL BE MISSING IT.")  See what I mean?

These people obviously get people in their claws by certain acts of service.  Just don't give any attention to it.  Let them go and act like nothing ever happened.

I'll be in prayer that they go QUIETLY.  What really drives these people crazy though is when they leave and nothing is said and nobody ever notices.  Just ride it out.

Love you,

Deanna

Thanks Deanna for those wise words.  I used to think of this woman as a friend (I know, I know).  I would never have thought she would do the things that she has done already, so what you said makes sense.

I continue to be in awe that God continually fights our battles for us when we allow Him to.  He is so good.
