The one in which SP and the other board members confront CA regarding her nastiness (and there's been a lot of it lately!).
Please pray that my SP will have the courage and the boldness to do what he needs to do - he is a peacemaker by nature and does not like conflict or confrontation. He is aware that this is a weakness of his, but in this case, we need God's strength to be made perfect in his weakness!!
We also need prayer for:
Boldness for the other board members;
Strength for YP, if she is "summoned" to this meeting (CA unleashed 1.5 hours' worth of venom onto her about DH and me, and SP and his family on the way home from sr. high camp. She flat out told CA that (and I quote!), "What you are saying is demonic and from the pit of hell, and you had better pray that God has mercy on your soul and the souls of whoever else is saying this garbage." But she doesn't know if CA really heard what she said, and is afraid that it will be twisted to make it look like she is in agreement against us and SP - she told DH and me, only because SP was going to have us attend this meeting (we talked him out of that one!) and she wanted us to be prepared for what had been said about us before it came out...most of it was pretty ugly!!
Peace for DH and me - mostly me - because DH is the eternal optimist...
That the devil will be defeated, and that the religious spirits attached to this woman and her cronies will be stopped dead in their tracks, and that after 50+ years of operation, our church can finally accomplish what God put it in that community to do!!
Thanks for supporting me through this - let's hope it comes to an end soon. My battle is not against flesh & blood (I just read that in my devotions this morning!!)...
Wow, you all are in the heat of the battle. I encourage you...please ask your pastor to get the book, "BREAKING INTIMIDATION" by John Bevere. I believe it would revitalize his ministry. He will not be afraid of confrontation anymore after reading that book.
Maybe on his birthday or Christmas you could even get it for him. I promise he will thank you forever.
