We had our first work day at the new church (unbelievable years of junk left behind for us to clean up) Saturday and we had 24 show up to help! This included a group of MAPS men from another town that showed up..... everything we needed done in the sanctuary they have someone who can do! From the carpet to the lighting to the carpentry work. We will save about $10,000 in labor. Then someone donated the paint and we got the carpet at wholesale and the section gave us money for it!
We had a huge pile of junk to trash and a neighbor came and offered to take it for the price he would be charged to dump it and he completely took care of that. We had a ceiling cosmetic problem and someone(?) sent someone we did not know to fix it. Now they are painting the entire upstairs for us. When we left today another neighbor was mowing our grass for us. Every day there is a new blessing!
I am so happy for you! God is so amazing isn't He? How can we doubt for a second that He knows our name, where we are, what's going on, what we need...etc.
Keep us posted.
How are things going for you financially? Have you been speaking more...or are you still considering a part time job? How are things going with that?
We have been so busy I have not been able to check the message board. Things are progressing and we met with the sectional committee yesterday. They are recommending a 6 month extention for us on our district support and help with the building costs. Our first service in the new building will be this Sunday.
To answer your question, Deanna, God has been opening doors for me to speak and to sell my Premier. We will be over coordinating outreaches for the St. Louis Inner City AG churches this summer so if any of you want to bring a team to the inner city??????? Call me!
