I'm posting here because you are all a praying bunch of people, and because I know God can do the impossible...
DH and I need a huge financial breakthrough! We're still not sure what the situation will be with our car...if it's totaled, we're in huge trouble, because we won't be getting enough $$ to buy a new car (it's a 1997 Cavalier with 160,000 miles on it!). If it can be fixed, then we still need to scramble to pay the deductible.
On top of that, DH's unemployment runs out in March, and the theatre company is still not where it needs to be financially in order for us to make it. The church has been talking about making him the church administrator (he's a whiz with numbers, web design, and all the other stuff they'd need him to do), but the problem will be booting the person who's been filling in - the same cantankerous board member whom God is teaching me to love and forgive . If he gets that job, that would be ideal for both the theatre and our ministry. Otherwise, he'll need to get a part time job elsewhere, that would not be as flexible for what we believe God has called us both to do.
I know this is either Satan attacking us (I'm about to interview for my credentials in 3 weeks, and our church is on the brink of something big!) or the Lord testing us - but prayers would be appreciated that everything will fall into place and that miracles will happen. We do pay our tithe regularly (I know that God will not bless us if we are not doing that!), so if you could just keep us in your prayers, that would be great...pray for financial miracles and against discouragement and attacks of the enemy! Thanks to all of you...
Father in Jesus name, I bring Puppetmaster and her husband before you. You know they need a financial breakthough and we know that you are God of the breakthrough. We know you are a miracle working God. When it seems impossible on paper -- You come through because You are not bound by numbers, paper, our salary package, or circumstances. YOU ARE THE GREAT I AM. And your word says, "The earth is the Lord's and everything in it!" I thank You that You have funds right now that you are directing and re-directing into Puppetmaster's hands. I thank you that you are loosing funds -- even from unorthodox places -- we know that the Word says that the wealth of the wicked is laid up for the just. We praise you in advance Father, that the finances needed for this car repair, and more would be brought into Puppetmaster's hands quickly. I thank you for working out the job circumstances for her husband. I thank you for lining all things up in their favor. May your peace, your power and your purpose be manifested in their lives. In the strong name of Jesus...Amen.
I stand in agreement with you in prayer! I know that God is more than able! In the meantime let me encourage you!
Just like Jesus stepped in to change the water into wine and the leper into a leaper, He is more than able to change this situation for you!
Sometimes Jesus waits (although I know we wish he wouldn't) until the wine has totally run out of our situation before he tells us to do the trivial to get the tremendous... Pour water into a waterpot and then draw it out and give it to the person in authority??? Yet without fail just when you do that you find that His best has been given without you even realizing that a change has taken place.
And then there are times when Jesus has changed the situation while you are in the process of showing yourself to the priests. Just be sure that you turn around and glorify Him...
For our lightaffliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory! II Corinthians 4:17
