I am in need of help for Christmas. I want our youth to put on a play or singing for Christmas. I am not too particular about doing the Nativity dramatization. Are there other ideas you all have or any websites you can hip me to.
I'm not a YP, but I am a children's pastor AND a theatre girl :o).
www.lillenas.com has got a great selection of all types of Christmas dramas of all lengths and for all ages. I highly recommend Lillenas because they are committed to putting out QUALITY shows.
For this year, you may want to stick with something simple - rather than attempt a full-length production in this short of time, maybe you could do more of a "revue" style - I directed a Christmas talent show at church one year, opening it up to any church members who wanted to sing, act, do stand-up, or whatever - the only catch was that it had to be Christmas-related.
It went over VERY well, and all I did was approve the acts ahead of time and arrange their order. Again, I opened it up to the whole church, but this was when I was ministering in a church with a membership roll of 20. If your youth group is large enough, you could certainly limit it. I wish you the best, and feel free to ask me any further questions :o).
