Hi, Ladies: Earlier this week, I posted about the great things that God is doing. I also asked for your prayers, as it is time for a lady in our church to leave. She has had feelings for dh for two years & we know some bad things are going on at her home by her husband. She has been a Sunday School teacher. (Dh asked her to teach when we thought her feelings for him were long gone... we were wrong.) Dh has wanted to remove her from SS but has felt that he's had to tread lightly as her husband is the "sue happy" type. Although he may not have a legal case, it could still really hurt the church. Anyway, I finally felt that I could pray for her to leave the church & asked for your prayers. This lady stopped dh yesterday (pulled in behind him at the church where they talked outside). She told him that the doctors have told her husband that his cancer is back & that he only has 6 months to a year to live.
My husband used this opportunity to suggest that she give up her Sunday School class. Although she didn't want to, DH pretty much insisted that she give it up as her husband is really going to need her.
Please don't get me wrong, I'm not gloating, nor happy, nor cheering that her husband is dying. I'm just thankful that God has answered part of our prayer, to get the lady out of the leadership position. Our prayer is that God will use this to get ahold of her husband so that he will TRULY repent & serve God. His theology is totally messed up. He would love to have a harem of wives. He is truly not a nice man and is in need of salvation. And he is rearing some very messed up rebellious children.
And so we continue to pray... for her & for her husband.
And we continue to be thankful for God working in our church.
