What is the goal of your church? I recently watched a broadcast of a church and the service was nice, but when I saw the name of it, I was COMPLETED FLOORED.....
One Offering Tabernacle of God...
What was their point? I don't know if they were emphasizing that they only give one offering or if they were letting people know that their expectation was that they bring an offering.
What type of church are you trying to develop? I think the name should mirror your desires... Our church is Salem - PEACE, because the church had just come out of a tumultous previous relationship... The church we organized years back was Faith Community - because we desired to develop a people who were able to believe and to bring this into a common bond.
In Biblical days, people named their children and places based on the experience that they had or the expectations that they desired.....
Answer the first question and watch God bring the answer to yours.....
I agree with Flow...I worked at a camp one summer called "Miracle Bible Camp." It was named that because God worked a huge miracle for them to be able to have enough money to open the camp in the first place. So every time they see the name of the camp on the sign, everyone is reminded that God still does miracles!
